Floyd Alcorn

Floyd Alcorn is the Assistant Vice President for Product and Engineering at NextGear Capital is part of the Cox Automotive family of companies.  As the leader responsible for Product and Engineering, he helps steer the product function – from inception to delivery, as well as the Technology function at NextGear.  Currently, NextGear is on a path to transform a good portion of their technology landscape.

Floyd has nearly 30 years of experience in the technology space, including over 25 years in a variety of leadership roles in the telecom industry.  Prior to working in telecom, Floyd served for 10 and a half years in the U.S. Navy as a Naval Flight Officer.

Floyd earned his B.S. in Physics from Principia College and his M.S. in Strategic Management from Georgia State University.  He and his wife currently reside in Westfield, IN.
