The 2025 Indiana Robotics State Championship took place on March 22nd at the Indiana State Fairgrounds, marking an exciting new chapter for our event. We were proud to send 55 incredible teams to the World Championship!
The event was a true celebration of Indiana’s talented students as they competed for the state title and the opportunity to represent our state on the world stage. From inspiring teamwork to impressive problem-solving, the energy and innovation on display were unforgettable.

Thanks for being interested in volunteering at the Indiana Robotics State Championship! We’d would love to have you as a volunteer for this year's competition. As a volunteer of this event, we'll make sure you're all set with some training, food, and t-shirts. As we get closer to your commitment, we'll send out more info about parking and what to expect as a volunteer.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where will the competition take place at the fairgrounds?
All IQ team pits, inspection, skills, and judging will take place in the Ball State University Champions Pavilion, all V5 team pits, inspection, skills, and judging will take place in the Pop Weaver Youth Pavilion, and the Opening Ceremony as well as all tournament matches will take place in the Indiana Farmers Coliseum.
Will teams still be able to complete inspection and run skills on Friday night?
Yes! Early check-in is optional for teams on Friday March 21st from 6pm - 8pm. This is a great opportunity to beat the Saturday morning rush! Teams may check-in, get their robots inspected, set up their Pit Area, and complete at least 1 skills run. You are welcome to set up your charging stations and any other equipment that you might have. Practice fields and judging stations will not be available at this time.
Is there a Parking Fee?
The State Fairgrounds requires us to charge $10 per car entering the fairgrounds. However, we never want the cost to deter anyone from participating in robotics so if you anticipate the parking fee keeping you from participating, please notify us.
Will there be load-in parking?
There will be a specific load-in process for teams to unload all equipment before parking. More details will be shared well before the event.
Will the event be live streamed?
Live streaming of each division will be available the day of the event beginning at 9:30am. The link to view each of the divisions will be found in our Digital Program. Streaming screens will also be available in each pavilion.
What are the dining options at the State Fairgrounds?
There will be ample opportunities to purchase concessions at multiple locations within the venue.
Can I bring Food & Drink into the State Fairgrounds?
Teams are permitted to bring in outside food, but are not permitted to order food to be delivered to the fairgrounds.
What will the cost for teams to attend state be?
$200 per team
How many world spots will be handed out at state?
New this season, VEX Robotics World Championship spot allocation: each Event Region will be allocated no more than 16 spots in each grade level for V5RC and 18 spots in each grade level for VIQRC.
THE 2024 INDIANA ROBOTICS STATE CHAMPIONSHIP

The 2024 Indiana State Robotics Championship was our boldest yet with over 1,600 students from more than 300 elementary, middle and high school teams uniting to represent the best of robotics sportsmanship across the state of Indiana.
Nearly 10,000 fans attended the nation’s largest state robotics championship competition to cheer on their local teams in a high energy day full of surprises, friendly competition and creative problem-solving.
The event, presented by TechPoint Foundation for Youth (TPF4Y), powered by Group 1001 and Indy Women in Tech, was hosted by the City of Indianapolis at Lucas Oil Stadium for the sixth consecutive year!
